epiQ Display Not Initializing

epiQs manufactured before 2023-01-12 used with external monitors.

When used with certain external monitors, one of the internal displays will sometimes not correctly initialize at boot and will be left as a black screen. Rebooting typically temporarily fixes the issue but it will eventually return.

Customer Action

The fix for the issue is to disable the Compatibility Support Module (CSM) in the bios settings. To do that, follow these steps:

1. Reboot the console and press the Delete key during bootup to enter the bios
2. Navigate to the Advanced tab and choose CSM Configuration
3. Change CSM Support setting to [Disabled]
4. Exit saving changes and allow the console to finish booting
