Time modification of axis move

    Hi Richard,

I just did a quick test of this in 5.1.14 and it generally appears to be working in that version, but perhaps you found an edge case that isn't working.

Can you share a screenshot of the Axis Move properties that you're trying to modify so that I can do more testing?

    Thanks!

    Yeah sure, images attached.

It's a very simple move I'm trying to achieve. The designer keeps changing the speed of cues as we plot but still wants them to run for the same duration of time. I could sit and do the maths but I'm limited on time as we tech so that 'adjust target position' in the time modification window would be really useful

Hmmm... For some reason the images aren't showing up in this thread.
Can you try emailing them to me? Jason.Shupe@taittowers.com

    Got the Photos!
Strangely, it's working for me in 5.1.14 (which doesn't help you at all, I realize).

Since you're in the middle of a tech and we need to keep you going, I'd recommend just clicking in the To Position box and scrolling with your mouse wheel until the graph shows the time you're going for (or pretty close).

I'm going to grab a copy of 5.1.13 and see if I can replicate your problem in that version.

Also, if you get a chance, will you email me a copy of your show file?

    Hi Richard,
I installed 5.1.13 and the Time Modification / Adjust Target Position feature is working just fine with me. That makes me wonder if there is something specific about your show's axis that is causing you to get that error.

When you email me a show file, I'll load up that axis on my system here and continue testing with it.

I'll email you over my show file shortly. I've managed to make it work with a linear axis but only with very small adjustment of time. It seems to be unable to work out my target position on a rotational axis and as standard just defaults to a 30 degree move and throws out any A/V/D info I've put in. It's not the end of the world, just a handy feature I've used a lot on previous shows and in earlier versions of Nav.

    Hi Richard,

    Apologies for the late reply!
Thanks for sending over your show file.
I'm now seeing the same bug you were seeing, when I use your Revolve axis config. As I feared, it's specific to one of the settings in your Axis Device (Max Motor Velocity).
I'm going to submit this bug to the Software Team for them to address.
Unfortunately, I think you will have to live with it until the Software Team can deliver a fix for us.
If that is an untenable situation, let me know and we talk through some other options.

    Thanks again!

    Hey Jason,
Thanks for following this up, I really appreciate it.
Seems a little odd that the max motor velocity is affecting that but it's fun to find these issues anyway.
The show is now open and running so there's no additional programming that needs to happen so it won't be an issue at all. I'll pass it on to the show team anyway as I'm sure they'd like an update but it's not affecting anything now.
    Thanks again.
