Digital IO manual commands names vs Digital IO Rule/Cue Line commands names
Could we consider renaming the manual IO commands pop-up in the IO details window to match how IO commands are named in the Rule Monitor/Properties as well as the IO Command Cue Line?
This will help with training as it will provide consistency regarding the commands names.
When using the mouse on a Navigator GUI to manually change the state of a Digital Ouput signal, the pop-up menu shows 4 options, named as follows:
- Set
- Pulse
- Blink
- Clear
(screenshot pasted below)
However, when programming a rule, the options read:
- Turn ON
- Turn OFF
- Flash
- Flash Fast
- Flash Custom
- Toggle
- Lock ON
- Lock OFF
- Assign
(Screenshot below)
When programming cues, the IO Command Cue line reads:
- Turn ON
- Turn OFF
- Flash
- Flash Fast
- Flash Custom
- Toggle
- Lock ON
- Lock OFF
- Assign
(Screenshot below)

I'd like to piggyback on Jeronimo's request for unification of I/O commands.
When using a IO Cmd cue line to set a digital value none of the outputs are checked. When using a rule to set a digital output all of the outputs are checked. I would like to see the rule default setting match that of a cue line. Most of the time I am only looking to affect one bit at a time so having to hit uncheck all when writing rules is an extra step.
I'm happy to hear the argument for why the default of 'all checked' makes sense for rules.
This was noticed in 4.5 SP4.
