‘Device Swap’ Function within Play Devices

  Hi Joe,

  Have you explored the 'Find/Replace' tool at all?

  I won't be in front of a GUI for a few days so I can't provide additional documentation but Find/Replace could do exactly what you are looking for. If you had a sub full of cues for the US winch and wanted to use the DS winch to do the same moves you could copy the sub, rename it and then use the find and replace tool to FIND every cue line where you use US winch and then REPLACE it with the DS winch. If the winches have different physical restrictions you will need to change the A/V/D and targets manually.

  Let me know if you need more guidance and when I get back to my GUI I'll help you with some screen shots.

  I'm glad that worked for you,

  I'm on 4.5 R SP 4 and there is no help entry about the Find/Replace Device tool. Jim - is there a way to get some documentation included in the help file for Find/Replace?
