Programming AVD in seconds, not mm/sec²

I am not currently using the console, but interested in its philosophy.

Just wondering if there is a way or plans of a way using modify to allow the input of times for the calculations of the appropriate AVD for a cue.  I find that when i am talking to Stage Management or creatives, they seem to always talk in seconds to me.  "I want the accel to be a second slower" etc. 

Also if you do a modify to say 10 seconds for a cue, is that 10 seconds recorded in the cue or the AVD in mm & mm/sec² you chose to use?   For instance if you change an offstage preset to be a 1000mm further offstage, will it now take potentially 11ish seconds, or do i need to go through every cue that references that preset and re modify its timing to still complete in 10 seconds ?
