Channel view: device window

As the channel view is build out of a device window, it is limited to only displaying an axis/group once within the window (hence the need for the multiple channels tab). This becomes frustrating when an axis is loaded into a channel and a jog.

Can a filtered view be built that does not have this limitation? On a fundamental level an operator should be able to see what is loaded on any given jog/channel from this filtered view.
